ENFORCEMENT TECHNOLOGY
Cancom Security has created an opportunity within the current legal system to initiate an enforcement process that allows the Band Administration to implement Band Bylaws, and Band council Resolutions that can be enforced with a ticketing system developed by Cancom Security. This system allows the security team to utilize the band bylaws to initiate a claim in the form of a ticket that is tracked, monitored through an online database. The ticket is then visible to the administration, bylaw officer and defendant. The defendant may pay the ticket if they chose to do so through the online ecommerce portal affixed to the band bank account. If the defendant is disputing the ticket and circumstances they may dispute the ticket – fine – claim through the dispute process that involves a first attendance officer who will hear the dispute through a unbiased process by a third party mediator. The goal of the Enforcement process is to recover damages, and costs for the enforcement process and educate the public, creating awareness of band bylaws and territorial rights and jurisdiction.

Section 81 of The Indian Act fails to advise on how to enforce band laws, however, simply indicates that the creation of bylaws can be made via this Federal Statute.
